PERSEID METEOR SHOWER PEAKS
The Perseid meteor shower happens every August. The Perseids are so called because the point from which they appear to hail (called the radiant) lies in the constellation Perseus. The Earth ploughs into debris left behind from Comet Swift-Tuttle, which last passed close to Earth in 1992. For 2018, the Perseids will be visible from 17th July to 24th August, peaking during the overnight hours of 11th – 12th August, and again on 12th – 13th August. THE NEMESIA, THE FESTIVAL OF NEMESIS (GODDESS OF FATE) IN GREECE
Nemesis is the Greek Goddess of balance, justice, retribution, and vengeance. Evil deeds, undeserved good fortune, and crimes that go unpunished or that bring rewards, may invoke Her wrath and remorseless justice and retribution. Nemesis measures out happiness and unhappiness making sure that happiness does not occur excessively. If you are arrogant before the Gods, she will mete out the punishment. What goes around comes around and you can be sure that Nemesis will use Her powers against those who deserve it.

FULL MOON IN PISCES
One of the most beautiful Full Moons of the year that carries a prosperous, romantic, and creative energy that we all get to enjoy.
The Full Moon in August is known as the Sturgeon Moon, so called as this time of year sturgeon were once abundant in the Great Lakes of North America. Other names include Corn Moon, Grain Moon, Barley Moon after the various crops harvested in August, Weodmonath (Vegetation month) and Harvest Moon.
The energy for August is all about harvesting and appreciating our vitality, health and friendships. To navigate the ebb and flow of this energy, you’ll have to surrender your need for a guaranteed outcome and go with the flow. The symbol of the sign is two fishes, swimming together, in opposite directions. They represent the two sides of our nature, spiritual and material and that life flows better when they are synchronised and swimming together.
Full Moon in Pisces brings a heightened awareness of connection, our relationships with each other and with the divine. This energy of unconditional love and acceptance can inspire kind acts of compassion and creative expression.

MARS GOES DIRECT
The big release will come when Mars finally goes direct after being retrograde since the end of June. It will take a few days for this to kick in, but once it does be prepared for a whole lot of action and energy. In fact, September is going to be a great month for pushing forward and you will feel fully re-energised, awakened and ready to take that first step in the direction in the call of your heart and soul.
did you know?
August was originally called Sextilis (sixth) by the Romans as it was the sixth month in the original ten-month Roman calendar. It was later named Augustus, in honour of Augustus Caesar. In around 700 BC, January and February were added to the calendar and August became the eighth month of the year.
The Anglo Saxons called August Wēodmōnaþ, or Weodmonath (Weed Month) as this is when the weeds and plants grow abundantly.
what does August mean for you?
August for me is all about family time and taking our annual holiday to the beautiful island of Kerkyra (Corfu). Spending time walking, swimming and relaxing on this gorgeous green isle always fills me with joy and immense gratitude. This year we’ll be there for the Full Moon too, so you know you’ll find me on the beach soaking this one up!
With Much Love & Blessings 💖 Claire xxx
