READING FOR THE NEW MOON IN VIRGO 9TH SEPTEMBER 2018

Hello Beautiful Soul!

These New Moon cards were drawn from The Moon Deck as the reading for the New Moon’s energy in Virgo today. They are a beautiful reminder on what we need to bring forward, how we can commit to this, where we can find our joy and what we can do to connect with our inner selves.

Enjoy!

1. WHAT INTENTION CAN I BRING FORWARD AT THIS TIME?

INTEGRATION

Now is the time to integrate all that I have gathered

Integration is just as important as learning. When we have filled our basket to the brim, we need to pause from taking more in so that we can digest all that we’ve gathered.

You are incredibly resourceful, with a deep well of insight and knowledge to share. Now is your time to embody the abundance you’ve harvested and put what you know into action – in your own life and in your offerings to the world. Step back and acknowledge your teachers. Integrate what has been passed onto you and share your growth with others. This can take many forms. If you feel like ‘you’re not ready yet’, know that you do indeed have something special to share, and can make a positive impact with all that you already are. Now is the time!

LUNAR SALT SOAK

This two-part ritual can be done on the upcoming New and Full Moon. Gather your favourite salts, dried herbs or flowers, essential oils and a bowl. The New Moon can be celebrated solo or with close, like-minded women. The Full Moon is a solo journey for this ritual.

BEGIN ON THE NEW MOON:

set up a sacred space and mix your salts and dried herbs/flowers in your bowl.

INSPIRED BY THE MANTRA, ’NOW IS THE TIME TO INTEGRATE ALL THAT I HAVE GATHERED:

speak 3-5 clear intentions on how you’ll integrate and share all you’ve gathered, from now until the next New Moon. With each statement, splash your essential oil into the salts.

THEN ON THE FULL MOON:

take a full body or foot bath in your salts to amplify and integrate your intentions. Light candles, sip tea and make this moment sacred. As the salts relax, detoxify and mineralise your body, sink deep into your intentions – some of which may already be unfolding.

2. WHAT STEP CAN I TAKE TO COMMIT TO THIS INTENTION?

REBIRTH

I shed habits that hinder my truth. I release and renew

When we’ve outgrown our old skin, we can shed the layers that no longer serve us. Certain habits reach an expiration date, giving us an opportunity to be renewed. Sometimes we’re swept up by the motivation to change and other times we resist letting go.

Snake is here to encourage you to shed, release and renew. She represents transformation, primal energy and life force – which all need to cyclically shed for true regeneration. This your time for rebirth. Let go of habits, stories, behaviours or relationships that hinder your truth, so that you can experience an increased life force. If you hold on to them too tightly they will pollute the present. Your past has made you stronger and served its purpose, yet now it can serve you on a new and more aligned pathway. Trust that it is safe to shed and have a fresh start.

SPIRIT WRITE

Journaling is a simple tool that can help eliminate any ‘fuzziness’ around your personal development direction and create more mindfulness and clarity. Grab your favourite journal and find a comfy nook. Pause, take a few breaths, and ask your guiding Spirit for direction and protection. Then, write freely so you tap into the unedited and unfiltered wisdom at your core, using the following questions as a guide.

Date your page, write three or more answers to each question and then let your writing flow:

  • What personal rules or beliefs feel outdated to you?
  • What does your body currently need in order to release, renew and flourish?
  • What are you curious or excited to explore? Reach far and wide here, even if it seems ‘irrational’ at first.

Let your answers spark a few more minutes of spirit writing. Then review what you have come up with and begin threading your favourite answers into your life starting this week.

3. WHAT CAN I DO TO FIND JOY IN THE EVERYDAY?

JOY

Play is my pathway to joy

Many of us could use more playtime in our lives. If we march through our days being too serious, we dampen our joy, which is vital to our beauty and feminine nature.

Now is the time to embrace your playful innocence. Give yourself permission to live fully in the pursuit of what makes you feel joyful. The moments that you struggle with play or joy are opportunities to feel what is really going on inside. Notice your tendencies to tighten up. Then, wholeheartedly invite blissful joy into every cell of your being. You have an unlimited capacity to receive and express this lighter energy. Enjoy the pleasures of life without guilt, compromise or excuses. Allow curiosity to fill your eyes with wonder. Be like a child playing in the sand with no fear of the waves sweeping away your castle. Over time a happier outlook will become your home base. Play more and dazzle the world with your charm.

LADIES CHOICE!

This is your chance to be light-hearted and playful as you create your own ‘Joy Ritual’. Take a moment to remember something you loved doing when you were a child. You can write about in in your journal or simply contemplate the memory. Then, get into the space of being a carefree whimsical child and turn this inner spark on again.

Here are a few ideas:

  • Sing your favourite songs from childhood or make up your own songs (Abba's my fav for doing this!)
  • Pretend you’re playing with face paint or makeup for the first time
  • Aimlessly swing on a swing, going as high as you possibly can
  • Say yes to an exciting adventure that you’ve been thinking about
  • Go outside to flip around doing cartwheels and handstands

4. WHAT CAN I DO TO FEEL MORE CONNECTED WITH MYSELF?

DREAM

My dreams reveal that magic is real and anything is possible

Dreams of the night may reveal insights that rest in our subconscious. They may also inform or day dreams where we become the masters of boundless possibility. Our dreams need inspiration to flourish and can help us better understand our path and awaken our connection to great vision.

Your dreams are asking you to bring them to life with continuous support and sincere belief. Consider yourself a midwife for your dreams. Welcome motivation, imagination, commitment and a playful spirit. Set clear intentions for your present path, nurture its growth and then let go. It takes bravery to build and fully realise your dreams. As you infuse them with conscious love and dedicated action, build your dream team and have gratitude for the inspired force beneath it all.

DREAM JOURNAL

Dream journaling will improve memory, awaken imagination and shine light on recurrent themes. Dive in for 28 days straight and rev up your dreamscapes. They can fade quickly upon waking, so be sure to write when you first wake up. Jot down as much as you can before doing anything else.

  • Designate one journal to your dreams so it’s focused and clear as you track your progress and thread a storyline of dreams together. Keep this journal and a pen near your bed.
  • Date the page and write everything you can remember. Don’t concern yourself with perfect grammar or whether it’s a real memory or your imagination. Just write freely and let it flow. Write in present tense and include the vibe, locations, emotions, people, transitions and sensations. You can also add sketches or symbols. Over time you’ll begin to see key themes.

At the end of this 28-day ritual, read through your dreams, and learn from what’s revealed to you.
